Abstract | Solar radiation heat transfer has long been part of the curricula of many engineering disciplines and interest in this field has been heightened as a result of climate change and the need to transition to renewable energy. This book is an outcome of teaching of the subject for many years to the senior postgraduate students of mechanical engineering and was primarily developed for use as a text for PhD students. The book should also serve as a useful reference for practicing engineers and persons interested in energy-related problems. Though we research quite a lot in solar radiation, we have scrupulously avoided adding material based on the findings of our research. The focus instead is to present a book that can be used as a text either at the senior postgraduate or at the graduate level. Based on our past experience, we believe that the material presented in this book can be covered in about 30 lectures, each of 50 min duration. Carefully chosen exercise problems supplement the text and equip students to face “radiation” boldly. This book is in Persian (Farsi). |
