Abstract | This chapter aims to reflect that autism is a spectrum condition, that every individual is different and that people change over time. Authentic views of people on the spectrum and their families underpin discussion of autism theory and its relationship to practice. While the focus is on education (at any age), good practice recommendations embedded in this chapter apply in other contexts and could also help to foster inclusive practice for people without an autism diagnosis. |
