Abstract

The paper aims to identify challenges faced by companies that own, sell and implement their cloud computing technological strategy into corporate frameworks. In addition to that, the paper seeks to shed the light on the challenges faced by corporates when implementing cloud computing technologies which have been sold to them. A literature review has been prepared to cover some of the common challenges which are faced by suppliers and organisations when implementing
cloud computing technologies. The literature review provides a platform critical analysis to be undertaken for this research project. To achieve the aim of this research paper, a qualitative approach has been taken with in-depth interviews being undertaken with a selection of senior
professionals with inhouse and vendor positions. The findings and recommendations of this research provide insights into the question set which has been covered including, the financial impact of implementing cloud computing, data silos and security, sales and onboarding, integration with legacy infrastructure, training and knowledge transfer out of a business. This research paper is for academics and anyone within a corporate environment which has or is considering implementing cloud computing technologies or, a supplier who is offering such technologies to corporations for purchase and implementation. The Managers will be benefit from
understand possible solutions and workarounds which are implemented to overcome the challenges which arise. In addition, it will benefit corporates from understanding the origins or history of cloud computing and what benefits it brings to corporations, suppliers and the broader
economy.
