Abstract

This poster is exploring the use of critical pedagogies in mainstream secondary school classrooms as a practice for shaping more inclusive spaces for learning. It is suggesting a critical spatial lens in order to explore the relationship between pedagogical practices and the space for learning produced. Specifically, it is evaluating Theatre of the Oppressed, a theatre practice based on critical pedagogies, as a research method, in order to reflect with students and teachers on their critical classroom and explore changes. In this research, I am interested in the creative space Theatre of the Oppressed proposes, looking at it as a creative, spatial practice of critical pedagogies.
